Devices
Museum keeps a point-in-time copy of a device before BakBeat prepares, syncs, or writes to it. You can browse that copy later, play from the preserved files, or put the device back the way it was.
Preserve before you change it
Preserve in Museum captures the mounted device and writes a catalog of what was on it. Playback uses those archived files. Preparation, sync, and other device changes stay out of a Museum piece.
- Browse the preserved catalog without the player connected.
- Export saves a copy of the preserved files somewhere else. That does not put them back on a device.
- Restore is previewed first. If you continue, BakBeat empties the device, then copies this Museum piece onto it. The device becomes the preserved copy.
