What's New

BakBeat 1.10 introduces a new library architecture designed to make everyday browsing, searching, and device work substantially faster and more responsive.
Existing libraries migrate automatically to the new BakBeat library document format.
Added unified artist, album, and song search from the Artists view.
Added an Artists / All Music search scope so you can broaden a search without leaving Artists.
Added a Lossless filter to Albums for finding complete lossless albums.
Redesigned album details with a larger artwork presentation and clearer year, lossless, and owned-media information.
Added distinct owned-media indicators for CD, vinyl, cassette, and MiniDisc collections.
Split Movies and TV Shows into separate library destinations.
Removed the standalone Tracks view and centered music navigation around Artists, Albums, Playlists, and search.

Device transfers now update the BakBeat library in one batch after copied tracks are written, reducing stalls during larger transfers.
Device music and video views now refresh more reliably after adds and deletes instead of showing stale catalog information.
Improved eject and disconnect handling with clearer in-progress status and more reliable device state.
MiniDisc imports now dismiss the import sheet immediately while transfer progress continues in the status lane.
MiniDisc write mode is now remembered per deck instead of only as a Mac-wide preference.

Fixed the brief false empty-library state that could appear during startup before the first catalog snapshot was ready.
Fixed concurrent library writes that could overwrite each other.
Fixed artist corrections that could collapse tracks incorrectly.
Made FLAC metadata edits substantially lighter by avoiding unnecessary full-file work.
Reduced unnecessary media and embedded-artwork reads during folder import and metadata identification.
Improved folder-import status so it reports the real work being performed instead of appearing stuck on file copying.
Fixed several post-add, post-delete, playlist-sync, and remembered-device catalog refresh issues.
